Let The Festivities Begin

As of yesterday a new season is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere. Welcome Winter 2015/16. Yesterday was the shortest day of the year, could you feel it? The nice thing about this time of year is that even though it's dusk at four, by the time the blanket of darkness wraps the sky, there are so many pretty lights to make it welcoming. Starting tonight, it will get a little lighter longer, everyday here out until the Summer Solstice. Nature is all about change. In turn, we get used to it, as we did all the darkness. This new season brings with it more light. Christmas Eve is the day after tomorrow and next week yet another change, a new year, 2016. I'm ready, let's do it.

One of my best friends is having a baby girl tomorrow. I'm so happy for her and her boyfriend and I can't wait to meet the sweet angel. So many fun things happening at this time, all I can do is smile this morning. I hope you have a great Christmas (if you celebrate it) and a wonderful New Year's Eve (everyone celebrates that!). I'm taking the next two weeks off from my blog for the festivities and will be back "next year" with fresh posts. The true meaning of the holidays is of course enjoying time with loved ones. Presents are nice, but love is most important. Always.

Sending you lots of it and wishes for a wonderful, happy new year filled with peace and success.
