As Stormy Clouds Pass By
Great morning to you on another beautiful, summer Friday. Fall starts next week, so this really is the end of the summer. It still seems absurd to me when stores advertise "end of season" sales at the end of July. We're nearing the end of September and still in summer. Up north the summer is very short and they try and cut it even shorter. Clearly I'm a little distraught at the ending of my favorite season.
Between that, my friend passing and some other family happenings, this week has been on the stormy side. It's time to let go and hit re-fresh. It's also time to say goodbye to summer as tans fade and the gardens brown. A time to look forward to haunted houses, family gatherings and "indian summer" days are upon us. Cooler temperatures edge in as cozy sweaters and scarfs begin to appear. Halloween decorations are dusted off and ideas for costumes begin to develop. A new season is coming . . .
